How long do dental handpiece repairs take?

At Trigiene, we offer a 24-hour turnaround on dental handpiece repairs to ensure you can get your practice running at full capacity the very next day. Through Promise24, our Trigiene 24-Hour Repair Promise, we guarantee that all turbine handpieces will be repaired and returned to you within 24 hours*. If the deadline is missed, we’ll carry out your next repair for free, up to the value of £150.

For all other types of handpieces (non-turbine), we still aim to get your handpiece back to you the next day, using our overnight couriers to have your equipment back to you before practice opening time. No matter what type of handpiece you send us, we’ll provide a return estimate with your no-obligation quote and will keep you informed throughout the repair process.

What dental handpiece brands can you work on?

Our engineers are certified to work on all of the leading handpiece and equipment brands including W&H, Bien Air, NSK, Anthogyr and Mk-Dent. If you’re unsure if we can facilitate your repair due to the brand, simply make a note in the repair booking form and we’ll be in touch to let you know if we can help.

Do you use genuine or generic replacement parts?

In the majority of repair cases, we use high-quality European aftermarket parts on our repairs, allowing us to offer the most cost-effective repair based on age and condition of the equipment. However, under our premium handpiece repair option, you can also request that we use genuine OEM manufacturer’s replacement parts, which offers a longer warranty than the industry standard.

What warranties do you offer on repaired handpieces?

Due to the high-quality, parts we use in our dental handpiece repairs, we can ensure the reliability of your handpieces for longer than our competitors. Our Trigiene Gold Service repairs are those which use only genuine OEM manufacturer replacement parts, and these come with up to 12-month warranties.

Can you repair other small equipment in addition to dental handpieces?

Yes, our experienced technicians can repair most makes, models and types of handpieces, and often also repair other pieces of small benchtop equipment. This includes curing lights, endo motors, scaler units and much more. If you’re in need of a repair for a piece of dental equipment which isn’t listed above, get in touch with our team who will be able to advise on whether or not we can be of service to you.

Do I need Trigiene packaging to request a collection?

Yes, because of the free insurance policy we offer on our handpiece collection service, handpieces are required to be stored in Trigiene Eco-Repair boxes or Trigiene envelopes. To request this packaging, please select the option in the repair booking form, or contact our office.

How much do dental handpiece repairs cost?

Repairs and servicing costs start from £34+ VAT, with the price varying depending on the make, model and type of repairs required to return the handpiece to full working condition. Collection and delivery for repairs are, however, free of charge, as is our no-obligation repair quote. So, if you decide not to go ahead with the repair after receiving the quote, we will return your handpiece to you, at no cost to yourselves.

Do you provide a quote prior to the repair?

Yes, once we’ve received your malfunctioning handpiece or small equipment, our highly skilled engineers will review the tool and provide you with a quotation before proceeding with any work.

What if my handpiece is beyond economical repair?

If your handpiece will cost more in repairs and replacement parts than it’s worth, we will always be upfront and honest with you, and advise you on the best, most cost-effective way forward. We also stock a range of leading handpieces in our online store, and can point you in the right direction if a replacement is more suitable than a repair.
